I never inform customers on how many slices they will get from each cake as everyone slices cakes differently. It all depends on how you slice your cake, how sharp your knife is and what portion size you want to serve to your guests.

There are so many different tutorials, videos, charts and portion guides on the internet on how to slice a cake and how many portions each cake will give you. Below are some example guides on how many slices you might get. Each one i found gave a different portion size for the same size cake.

You will always get the size cake you order such as 6 inch round cake is baked in a 6 inch round cake tin, 8 inch round is baked in a 8 inch round cake tin and so on,  but all cakes are hand made, so they always come out the oven different heights. So i NEVER speculate on the height of the cake you will get as they are bespoke and hand made and 2 cakes never come out the exact same size due to the size of the eggs and because its all hand made.

It is always worth having more cake then less, even if you take some home with you.

Sometimes customers get cupcakes to along side their cake to match in and they look nice around the cake board on the centre table.

Remember not everyone will have cake at parties. But if your putting a slice in for each child you need to look at some cake cutting guides to make sure you get the amount of slices you need.

As you can see each guide gives different amounts of cake. Taller Buttercream Drip cakes are usually double the height of normal standard cakes so you can slice each section twice and even 3  or 4 times giving you more portions, as it would be too tall to give as one portion.  These guides are NOT from me but i have used these as an example to show you the different ways you can slice your cake to get more slices. Cutting them into squares rather than triangle pieces will give you more slices.

It is your choice on the size of the cake you would like to order from me, but please remember the price goes up as everything needs to be bigger for each size cake such as bigger board, box, more ingrediants more surface to decorate, more time etc.

Not all cake designs are suitable in all sizes. Drip cakes are suitable for 6 and 8 inch round.  It is your choice on the size of the cake you would like to order. I can only guess on what i think will be enough or wont be enough by using the guides only but it is up to you as the customer to decide the size you would like to order.

Each table gives different size charts so it is difficult to judge exactly how many portions you will get from each cake so its always best to pick a cake bigger than you would like to ensure you have enough portions. I am not held responsible for the size of the cake that you decide you would like to order. All the different cutting guides are here from various web searches as a guide line only. Each cake is sliced by the customer to their requirements.
