About Me

 

I have always enjoyed baking and for my sons birthday he wanted a cake that would of cost me £60 from a cake baker so instead  i wanted to try and make it myself however i got the shock of my life when i went shopping to buy everything i needed for it and the cost  was over £40 just for materials and ingrediants and it took me back then hours and hours to make it. So after becoming a self employed cake baker i now fully understand the cost of a bespoke cake. The time involved in shopping, ordering, collecting items and ingrediants, the prep work which is making any sugarcraft items for the cake, plus the time weighing out and baking the cake, the electricity and gas costs and the the useage of my equipment such as tins and mixers and buying new equipment. All this costs money as well as the time to decorate it all and box it up ready for collection by the customer.  

 

After doing my sons xbox cake i began baking for family and giving them each a birthday cake. Since then i have took my hobby to the next level and began making for friends and in 2014 i set up my own cake business. 

 

I became addicted to facebook and had a lovely group of cake makers and bakers who helped one another for support. I have learnt everything from the comfort of my own home sitting on the ipad or laptop. Asking my "cakey friends" lots of questions and of course You tube. 

 

I also know other cake bakers in the Local area so if i am not able to make the cake that you require for whatever reason i can reccomend other people to you. Aswell as people who make cake decoration flower for cakes. 

 

I am fully registered and i hold my level 2 food and safety.

 

I have reiceved a score of 5 for my food hygeine rating from my local council and 5 is the highest score you can get. I take pride in all the work i do from shopping for the finest ingrediants all the way through the safe methods of food prepartion, baking and decorating to ensure your cake reaches you fresh and to the best of my ability.

 

Please be aware that i am still learning, this is like a hobby to me for flawless cakes please seek al cake baker with more experience than i have.
